Microneedling

The micro-needling also known as mesotherapy, consists of a collagen induction that promotes the renewal of the skin as well as the decrease of the appearance of fine lines, superficial scars, dilated pores, stretch marks and other signs of skin aging.

This treatment is RECOMMENDED to treat

  • Wrinkles (medium and superficial)
  • Skin rejuvenation
  • Age spots and melasma
  • Dilated pores
  • Post operative scars
  • Acne scars
Our clinic uses eDermaStamp technology
DermaRoller Microneedling (eDermaStamp) features surgical-grade microneedles that cut through the epidermis and penetrate the dermis a maximum of 1.2mm, causing small bleeding points.

This process causes the natural stimulation of new collagen production.

Simultaneously, medical grade liquid hyaluronic acid is applied to the skin allowing deep hydration.

Microneedling improves skin texture, allows better absorption of cosmeceuticals and is approved by Health Canada.

How does a session take place?
The session begins with the taking of photographs. The skin is then cleansed and disinfected. An analgesic cream is applied 30 minutes before the session. The technician performs lines using the micro-needling device in the treated area(s). The treatment generally takes only 30-45 minutes maximum.

The skin becomes slightly rough and exfoliates over a period of one week. Make-up is allowed the next day.

What are the side effects?
After the treatment, the skin may be red for a few hours for the vast majority of patients, small crusts and rarely bruises (bruises) may be apparent for a few days. Due to their non-invasive nature, microneedling sessions typically require little to no downtime for patients.
Is microneedling painful?
It’s not painful. At the Clinic, we take care to apply an anesthetic cream containing lidocaine 30 minutes before your treatment.

You will feel at most a slight discomfort.

How soon will I see the improvements?
A few days after the first session, you will feel your skin softer. Thereafter, improvements will be made gradually.

The stimulation of the skin by micro-needling makes it possible to restore its radiance and improve its structure. For optimal results, we recommend combining this treatment with a treatment of your own growth factors applied directly to the skin.

How many sessions are needed and for maintenance?
We are only talking about one treatment, but long-term treatment will be suggested according to the patient’s needs. We suggest 3 sessions spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart.

Subsequent maintenance varies according to lifestyle (sun, tobacco, etc.) and the care given to the skin.

The use of medical grade cosmetic products and very important sunscreen.

Who can practice Microneedling?
From a regulatory point of view, the law allows the exercise of microneedling by beauty professionals, within the framework of a maximum penetration of 1 mm deep into the skin depending on the thickness of the epidermis. Since we are a medical clinic, we can offer a deeper treatment up to 3 to 4 mm depending on the areas treated.
