Mild chemical peeling
Medical peeling is a simple and effective process of seizing dead cells on the surface of our skin. It reduces skin imperfections, such as fine lines, dilated pores and pigmented spots. By using different types of acids, for example, glycolic acid, lactic acid, salicylic acid at different concentrations, we are able to reach the deepest layers of the skin. In this way, we stimulate collagen production.
By removing a layer of dead cells, the skin surface becomes more even and facilitates the penetration of products.
Is peeling a treatment for you?
This treatment is for clear to tan skin types. We can perform this treatment early in the twenties. This practice will be preventive. It will treat the first signs of skin aging and give a burst of radiance. For mature skin, medical peeling is highly recommended. The treatment will stimulate cell regeneration, help reduce pigment stains, soften fine lines and brighten the complexion.
The results are felt from the first session. However, you cannot receive medical peeling treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Peeling is indicated for the following cases
- The pregnancy mask (melansma)
- Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (pigment spots)
- Mild to moderate acne
- The dilated pores
- Fine lines
- Photoaging
- Preparation of an intense pulsed light treatment (IPL)
How is my peeling session take place?
We begin the treatment with a cleansing of the skin to remove surface impurities and traces of makeup. Afterwards, we apply the acids used for your medical peeling. The product comes in the form of a liquid that we apply on the surface of your face. It is normal to feel at this moment a feeling of tingling and warmth. As time goes on, the sensation of tingling and heat increases. This is the desired effect. We have to let the product work for a few minutes. The break time depends on the patient’s skin reaction. Finally, we neutralize the acids to soothe any feeling of tingling and heat. Very important to moisturize the skin with a moisturizing cream and apply an SPF to protect the skin from the ultraviolet rays following the treatment.
